24 years in China and still leading the way
- First to launch a PR event in Tian'an Men Square in 1985. Traffic stopped at Tian'An Men Square for 20 Cadillacs donated to CITIC by General Motors.
- First global satellite coverage for the opening of a famous chain store in 1989. McDonald's brings Big Macs to China heralded by a ribbon cutting ceremony at China's first McDonald's, which opened in Shenzhen.
- First web cast in Asia for a leading multinational brand in 2001.
- First to ensure China's place on the global sporting stage. H&K managed an all-encompassing media and communications program for the Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai, the first world-class sporting event in China, and contributed to the event's overall success and selection as "ATP Tournament of the Year".
- First agency appointed by the State Council Information Office for Spokesperson and Crisis and Issues Management Training. In 2005, Hill & Knowlton equipped over 400 spokespersons from central and provincial governments with the skills necessary to handle future crises.
- Hill & Knowlton has been appointed as the official public relations agency for the Beijing Olympics 2008 and will enhance communication and media relation resources.
