Director

Basic Function

Responsible for the overall development, maintenance and growth of both the clients and H&K staff. Provides overall strategy and direction for all client engagements. Analyzes and solves problems, develops strategic programs, ensures value-added products/services, oversees the development and execution of high-quality deliverables and continually relates the agency's work back to the clients' business objectives. Ability to utilize industry network to identify and secure new business wins. Responsible for employee satisfaction and retention. Works with human resources and finance resources in the office to position the office for success. Annual team fees to be delivered and maintained.

Qualifications

  • Ten plus years of agency experience or equivalent
  • Specialized industry knowledge niche and has senior level industry and media contacts.
  • Proven experience managing a team at the highest level from a financial, client delivery and staffing perspective
  • Proven ability to:
  • identify and secure new business
  • provide strategic, crisis communication counsel
  • expand current client business
  • develop and implement strategic communications programs
  • Possesses solid presentation skills, including ability to communicate and sell ideas to prospects and current clients
  • Ability to accurately project client revenues on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Ability to manage, retain, and grow clients at the highest level

Account Director

Basic Function

  • Team Management
  • Responsible for the day-to-day management and operations of team with an emphasis on retaining and expanding current client business. Responsible for overseeing all client budgets (creating, expanding, forecasting, etc) and ensuring that revenue and account profitability for each client is reached on a monthly basis. Responsible for the supervision of all subordinates from SCs to ACs. Assists Practice Leaders on new business efforts. Has an established specialty or practice niche and strong, senior contacts in the media.

Qualifications

  • 7- 8 years of agency experience or equivalent
  • Specialized industry knowledge plus specialized skills in one or more key practice areas within H&K
  • Proven experience managing a team from a financial, client delivery and staffing perspective
  • Proven ability to:
  • write new business proposals
  • manage, retain and grow multiple accounts
  • create and manage multiple budgets
  • expand client business
  • develop strategic communication programs
  • Possesses solid presentation skills, including ability to communicate and sell ideas to prospects
  • Proven leadership skills and sales ability
  • Has an established network of senior industry and media contacts

Senior Consultant

Basic Function

Serves clients as day-to-day relationship manager and is responsible for developing plans for multiple accounts and seeing that these plans are executed. Independently manages multiple staff members (Consultant – ACs). Able to analyze and problem-solve issues for clients and staff. In addition, manages client’s budgets and takes a more active role in responding to RFPs and doing new business presentations.

Qualifications

Five - six years of agency experience or equivalent

  • Possesses well-developed specialized industry knowledge plus unique communication skills in one or more of the key practice areas within H&K
  • Proven experience managing a team from a financial, client delivery and staffing perspective.
  • Proven ability to:
  • write new business proposals
  • edit documents
  • present to clients
  • expand client business
  • develop and implement strategic communication programs
  • Ability to create and manage multiple budgets, delegate multiple clients' assignments, supervise others, work with other departments and offices
  • Ability to supervise contacts with suppliers/vendors, media and consultants

Basic Function

  • Account Management
  • Serves as the day-to-day manager in executing strategic communication plans on multiple accounts. Independently supervises SAEs, AEs, ACs and Interns. Has ability to delegate multiple assignments, supervise others and able to work with other departments, groups and offices. Thinks strategically and creatively. Works effectively with both senior and junior staff and possesses maturity, keen judgement, enthusiasm and strong people skills. Has an established industry niche.

Qualifications

  • Four years of agency or equivalent experience
  • Possesses capabilities and special knowledge of the unique communication needs in one or more specialties
  • Proven ability to:
  • write and edit documents
  • present to clients
  • implement communication programs
  • manage budgets
  • Has a strong understanding of what motivates the media
  • Emerging leadership skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage all work for self and subordinates

Basic Function

Executes public relations programs with increased client interaction. Begins to manage accounts on a day-to-day basis. Manages workflow on accounts for AEs, ACs and Interns. Begins to establish a specialty or practice area.

Qualifications

  • 2 - 3 years agency experience or equivalent
  • Ability to write and edit documents
  • Understands principles of public relations and relevant client industries
  • Possesses maturity and judgment skills necessary for client contact
  • Thorough knowledge of media and how it functions
  • Some supervisory experience – managing programs and personnel
  • Ability to manage client budgets and deadlines

Account Executive

Basic Function

  • Project / event ?Management
  • Executes public relations activities for client with an increasing role in direct client involvement.

Qualifications

  • One-to-two years in agency or equivalent
  • Ability to write basic documents (i.e. pitch letters, press releases, etc.)
  • Understands basic principles of public relations and relevant client industries
  • Possesses judgement skills necessary for client contact
  • Has knowledge of media and how it functions

Account Coordinator

Basic Function

  • Execution
  • Supports account team(s) by implementing and executing client programs as directed.

Qualifications

  • Communications experience preferred
  • Ability to translate basic documents, English to Chinese & Chinese to English
  • University graduate, good command of English
  • Basic understanding of media & its function
  • Ability to develop press material, e.g. press invite, press releases,
  • under supervision
