HILL & KNOWLTON STRENGTHENS DIGITAL STRATEGY IN ASIA
Singapore 7 July 2008 - Hill & Knowlton, the leading communications agency, has strengthened its digital communications strategy in Asia with three sub-regional appointments. Matthew Overington, based in Sydney, will head up digital for Australasia, Raoul Le Blond, based in Singapore, will head up digital in SE Asia, and Lynn Fong, based in Beijing, will lead digital in North Asia. In addition, in Korea a team led by Kyle Jongmoon Kim is responsible for researching and developing new digital solutions for clients in APac. The group in APac will receive additional support and mentorship from Peter Imbres, senior vice president with Hill & Knowlton's digital practice in the USA who is relocating from New York to Portland, Oregon.
"Client demand for digital communications is growing rapidly in Asia. With the appointment of Matt, Raoul and Lynn we now have a strong team to support our offering. Each brings a unique perspective to digital communications with backgrounds in interactive marketing, journalism and tech PR – but all share a common passion for new marketing communications as defined by social technologies and other digital channels. Matt, Raoul and Lynn will be part of a senior group of leaders who are the backbone of Hill & Knowlton's fastest growing global practice," said Julie Atherton Worldwide Director of the Digital Practice at Hill & Knowlton.
Lynn, Raoul and Matthew all currently work with Hill & Knowlton in Asia Pacific, with digital an integral part of their remit. They will now each have multi-market responsibilities as well as working together to build digital solutions across Asia Pacific with Kyle and the Korea team.
"Digital solutions are no longer optional add-ons to client programmes," says Vivian Lines, President & COO, Hill & Knowlton Asia Pacific. "Digital is integral to our work across all our practices and geographies and these new appointments will help us deepen and expand the solutions we can offer clients as well as finding new areas for digital development."
